About this Event

We are excited to see you at the Acorn Team Antenatal Class to learn about pregnancy, childbirth, care of a newborn baby and breastfeeding.

Acorn Team Antenatal Class

This class is for families who are being cared for by the Acorn Team only. You can find other classes ran by St Thomas Hospital here: Maternity: care during pregnancy - Antenatal classes | Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust (guysandstthomas.nhs.uk)

Come join our Acorn Team Antenatal Class at Bermondsey Health Centre! This in-person event is perfect for expectant parents looking to learn more about pregnancy, childbirth, and early parenthood. Our experienced midwives will cover a range of topics to help you feel prepared and confident as you embark on this exciting journey. Don't miss out on this opportunity to connect with other parents-to-be, meet the Acorn Team Midwives and gain valuable knowledge in a supportive environment.

You can also attend half or part of the day if you are unable to do one full day or would prefer to split them into two smaller sessions. We would still recommend attending both sessions as it gives us time to discuss topics with you that we will struggle to fit into normal clinic appointments. If you are only attending half the day, please book but let us know at [email protected] so we can keep track of numbers. We try to keep our sessions on time but starting times may vary slightly

You are legally entitled to paid time off work for classes (including traveling time) so please do let us know if your employer is not allowing you to attend and we can provide you with a letter informing them of your rights to access antenatal care and education. You are welcome to bring one partner, friend or family member but please book them their own ticket so we do not overbook. Please do not bring young children.

Morning session (10:00-13:00) topic's include:

  • Antenatal preparation
