About this Event
Tortilla chips in a beer? Yes, actual tortilla chips. This Friday, we're exploring three very different sides of craft brewing, from a wildly unconventional mango-and-lime sour to an Alsace-inspired French pilsner and a juicy New England IPA. Whether you're into experimental flavors, crisp lagers, or tropical hops, we've got something worth discovering. We'll be pouring and talking all things beer from 6 PM to 7 PM.
What we're tasting
Tox Brewing Chips & Dip Sour Ale
A collaboration with Little House Brewing that takes inspiration from chips, spicy mango salsa, and margaritas. This kettle-soured ale is actually brewed with tortilla chips, mango, hot peppers, Key lime, lime zest, and sea salt. Expect bright citrus acidity, tropical fruit, a savory touch of salt, and a spicy kick. Definitely one for adventurous drinkers.
Notch French Disko French-Style Pils
Inspired by the brewing traditions of Alsace, France, this Massachusetts-brewed pilsner uses French malt and Strisselspalt hops for a distinctive take on the style. Delicate bready malt, floral and lightly spicy hop notes, and a crisp, dry finish make this a beautifully balanced lager with plenty of character.
Fat Orange Cat Baby Kittens
Don't let the name fool you. This Connecticut-brewed New England-style hazy IPA is packed with juicy citrus and tropical fruit character. Think mango, pineapple, orange, and grapefruit, wrapped in a soft, smooth body with just enough hop bitterness to keep everything balanced. A great pick for fans of fruit-forward IPAs.
