About this Event
Many entrepreneurs and small business owners want to make money without worrying about falling foul of the taxman, over-paying tax, making the right finance setup decisions, complying with Company law or bookkeeping administration.
This workshop will cover the financial foundations you need when starting out in business. The session will be highly interactive as you learn from James and other business owners. You will also get the chance to ask any question during the Q&A. The workshop will have many practical tips so you can take action straight away.
The topics the workshop will cover are:
- The accounting fundamentals that every business should have
- Limited Company vs. Sole Trader: Is a Limited Company actually saving you money or is it just creating more paperwork
- Personal taxation principles and the interaction with your business
- Expense myth busting: covering what HMRC allows so that you keep more of what you own
- HMRC: rules, deadlines and tax rates
- Growth triggers: what needs to change when you hit your first £50k, £100k or hire your first employee.
