About this Event
Access Table for Women in Business — Washington, DC
Not a mixer. A small table of women building businesses and helping one another move a real problem forward.”
Most business networking starts with introductions.
Access Table starts with a problem.
Twenty-four women running, building, or actively launching businesses gather in small tables and bring one real challenge they are currently working through.
Maybe demand is inconsistent.
Maybe everything still depends on you.
Maybe you are unsure what to delegate.
Maybe growth has created more complexity than expected.
The purpose of the morning is not to pitch the room or collect as many contacts as possible.
It is to put a real question on the table, hear how other business owners see it, and identify one action you can actually take in the week ahead.
There is no keynote presentation.
There is no panel.
There is no formal pitch session.
The work happens at the tables.
WHO THIS EVENT IS FOR
Access Table is intentionally designed for women who are currently:
• Owning a business
• Co-owning a business
• Actively launching a business
• Operating as a founder
• Running an independent professional practice
• Managing the day-to-day work of a small business
You do not need a particular industry.
You do not need a certain revenue level.
You do need a real business you are actively working on and one question you are willing to bring into a small peer conversation.
THE QUESTION YOU BRING
Before attending, identify one current business challenge.
Good questions are specific enough to discuss but open enough for other business owners to offer useful perspective.
Examples:
“How do I know whether my problem is pricing or positioning?”
“What should I stop doing myself before I hire?”
“How do I create a more consistent sales routine?”
“What process should I document first?”
“How do I decide which opportunity is actually worth pursuing?”
“What is the smallest next step toward increasing capacity?”
You do not need to arrive with the answer.
That is the point.
HOW ACCESS TABLE WORKS
The room is organized into four small tables of approximately six attendees.
Rather than spending the morning in one large discussion, participants move through three stages.
ROUND 1 — PROBLEM TABLE
You begin with women working through a similar type of business challenge.
The purpose is to get specific quickly.
Each participant has time to name the issue, provide enough context, and hear initial questions and perspectives.
ROUND 2 — DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVE
Participants rotate.
The second table intentionally brings different business experiences together.
The goal is not expert advice.
It is to hear how another business owner sees the problem from a different operating perspective.
ROUND 3 — ACTION TABLE
The final round moves from discussion to action.
Each participant identifies:
One thing I will do next
When I will do it
What will tell me whether it helped
The action should be realistic enough to complete or begin within approximately one week."
