The ministry of Health in collaboration with the Ghana Health Service, wishes to inform the public,particularly residents in the meningitis belt to remain vigilant for the possible outbreak of meningitis especially during the dry dusty season. Meningitis is a serious and potentially life- threatening disease that causes inflammation of the membranes covering the brain and spinal cord. It can spread rapidly, especially in over crowded living conditions, requires early detection and prompt medical care to prevent severe complications or death.
