The Winter dressage series is a series of six dressage shows at Aberhall Equestrian, once per month between October 2026 and March 2027. We have decided this year that the first two shows - October and November will be live at Aberhall and the following four shows December to March will be video shows where you film yourself and submit a video for judging.
Each show includes six classes split into junior and senior sections and suitable for a wide range of riders.
League registration is free and automatic for horse /rider combinations and points are awarded in each show for 1st – 6th places. These points are accumulated over the series with fabulous end of season sponsor embossed Champion rosettes, sashes and perpetual trophies to the overall winners of each class.

Class 1 – Aberhall Mini’s – Test 7
Class 2a – Aberhall Intro – Test 7 (see note below)
Class 2b – BD Introductory 1 – 2024
Class 3 – Aberhall Canter – Test 7 (see note below)
Class 4 – BD Prelim 1 – 2024
Class 5 – BD Novice 1 – 2024

Please Note
We have split class 2 into sections 2a and 2b.
Class 2a – is a confidence boosting class for nervous or less experienced riders who are perhaps new or fairly new to dressage.
Class 2b – Rider/horse combinations must not have competed in any BD Novice class previously at any venue.
Class 3 – Rider/horse combinations must not have competed in any BD novice class previously at any venue.
These rules apply to both senior and junior riders.
