As the year draws to a close, life often invites a familiar rush. Between year-end deadlines and social commitments, our days fill up quickly—leaving little room to simply slow down, check in, and feel where we are.

A Time to Pause is a three-part series designed as a quiet counterpoint to that rush. Based on the Contact Beyond Contact method and co-facilitated by Cathy and Pamela, this immersion offers a supportive space to slow down, listen deeply, and move with whatever is present. Designed as a safe, respectful container, this practice fosters genuine trust, self-expression, and personal transformation while deeply honouring individual journeys.

Weaving together dance techniques with somatics, mindfulness, and other healing modalities, we explore how we relate to ourselves and to others. There are no steps to learn and no movement experience required—just a willingness to stay curious and tune into the intelligence of your body.

Part I: Boundaries

Saturdays, 24 & 31 October 2026 | 3.00pm – 5.30pm | Total 6 credits or $120

Boundaries are often thought of as limits, but in movement, they allow us to feel safe, clear, and truly connected. Across these two sessions, we explore boundaries as flexible, living choices rather than rigid walls.

Together, we practice sensing personal space, co-creating from constructive conflicts, and navigating spatial levels. By holding our centre with clarity, we discover how to engage with others without losing our own ground.

Part II: Release

Saturdays, 7 & 14 November 2026 | 3.00pm – 5.30pm | Total 6 credits or $120

Before stepping into a new season, the body needs room to discharge accumulated effort. The second part of the series turns toward the art of yielding, softening, and shifting our attachments.

Through relational movement and gentle physical dialogue, we examine where we habitually hold tension. By exploring gravity and shared momentum, we practice loosening our grip on old patterns to make authentic room for new beginnings.

Part III: Open Dance

Sunday, 15 November 2026 | 12.00pm – 2.30pm | Total 3 credits or $60

An open-levels workshop designed to bring our time together to a gentle, integrative close.

For earlier part participants, this session offers a spacious container to weave together Boundaries and Release. For newcomers, it serves as a welcoming entry point to experience the practice, communicate without words, and connect from the heart.

Open to anyone with or without prior movement or Contact Beyond Contact experience.

You may register for any or all of Part I, II or III (however, attendance at both sessions within Part I or Part II is required).

The sessions are being offered at a special introductory rate as we welcome the movement community in Singapore into Contact Beyond Contact.

How to register

Please register via the On Good Ground website here or by downloading the MindBody app downloaded from App Store or Google Play (search for "On Good Ground").

Please note Part I and Part II has two sessions - registration only needs to be submitted under session 1, which will register you for both sessions 1 and 2. You do not need to separately register for session 2.

What to prepare

Wear loose comfortable clothing - something you feel comfortable moving in. Bring water, a sweat towel (just in case!) along with a journal and pen.

About the method

The practice is based on the method Contact Beyond Contact (CBC), which was created by Vangelis Legakis and is accredited under Unity Space.

It is a transformative healing and dance practice that helps you deepen your connection with yourself and how you relate to others as you move and co-create with a partner and the wider group - it is a metaphor for how we show up in life.

It combines dance techniques (contract improvisation, authentic movement, passing through) with healing modalities (somatics, qi gong, yoga etc) into a single movement practice.

Please note light physical touch with others is a natural part of the practice.

About Cathy

Cathy Lee is a Contact Beyond Contact Level 3 Facilitator, a RYT-500 yoga teacher and sound practitioner. Having spent over a decade in corporate law and living across the globe in Hong Kong, Seoul, London and now Singapore, navigating high-pressure environments shaped her deep appreciation for somatic healing and genuine connection.

Her mission is to create grounded, compassionate spaces that help you move out of busyness into presence—cultivating the inner strength and open heart to stay rooted, authentic and present through all the messy, honest parts of life.

About Pamela

Pamela Tan is a Contact Beyond Contact Level 2 Facilitator. Movement has been a recurring thread throughout her life, including competitive ballroom dancing. Since discovering Contact Beyond Contact, she has been drawn to a different kind of movement practice — one that deepens awareness of ourselves, our relationships and the spaces between us.

With over 15 years of experience across communications, corporate social responsibility and non-profit management, her work has centred on people — listening to their stories, building relationships and creating spaces for connection and dialogue. As a facilitator, she brings together her experience working with communities and her ongoing movement practice, creating spaces for participants to slow down, listen to their bodies, and explore new possibilities for connection.
