A Tale Of Two — Stephanie Adlington & Aaron Lessard at The Blue Door
Americana with a little grit, a little blues and a whole lot of story.
A Tale Of Two brings together award-winning vocalist Stephanie Adlington and guitarist Aaron Lessard for music steeped in Americana, blues and timeless Southern storytelling.
Drawing inspiration from artists as varied as Tom Waits and Ray LaMontagne to Patsy Cline and Hank Williams Sr., Stephanie and Aaron create songs populated by wonderfully imperfect characters—sinners, drinkers, schemers and the occasional soul looking for a little redemption.
And sometimes revenge.
Their sound is soulful and rootsy, with just enough swamp around the edges. But the songs are only part of the fun. Stephanie and Aaron share an infectious chemistry onstage, and the easy back-and-forth banter between songs makes the audience feel like they're part of the evening rather than simply watching it.
Together they've shared stages with artists including Mary Gauthier, Grayson Capps and Peter Mulvey, carving out their own distinctive corner of Americana along the way.
They've been called a pair of “retro raconteurs”—and that description fits beautifully.
Great voices. Great playing. Colorful characters. Dark humor. Southern stories with a little mischief tucked inside.
Sounds like a pretty darn good night at The Blue Door to us.
Come hear A Tale Of Two — Stephanie Adlington & Aaron Lessard.
