About this Event
A facilitated experience in reflection, inquiry, and organizational learning hosted at AmeriHealth Caritas Wellness & Opportunity Center.
Why This Workshop?
Organizations rarely struggle because capable people don't care or aren't trying. More often, people see the same situation through different experiences, assumptions, and perspectives-and act on conclusions that seem completely reasonable from where they stand.
The Reflecting Pool Workshop creates an opportunity to experience what happens when we slow down, examine how we're making sense of a situation, and become genuinely curious about what others see.
In this workshop, facilitated by Robert V. Sylvester Founder, OMLIGN, participants will work with a realistic organizational case involving declining performance, changing priorities, communication problems, and questions about accountability. Rather than trying to find the "right" answer, we'll explore:
- What do we see?
- What assumptions are shaping what we see?
- What becomes possible when different perspectives enter the conversation?
Through facilitated dialogue and inquiry, participants experience how reflection can reveal assumptions, expand understanding, and open possibilities that aren't visible when we move immediately from problem to solution.

Who is Robert V. Sylvester?
Robert V. Sylvester is the founder of OMLIGN, a leadership and organizational development practice focused on helping leadership teams better understand the patterns, assumptions, and behaviors that influence how their organizations perform.
His work draws on more than three decades of leadership and business experience, combined with extensive study and practice in organizational learning, leadership development, organizational culture, systems thinking, and change. Robert holds an MBA from Virginia Commonwealth University and is certified in the Leadership Circle Profile and Barrett Values Centre cultural assessment methodologies. He has also completed the Kotter Change Certification Program — Foundations of Change, based on Kotter’s methodology for leading organizational change.
Through OMLIGN, Robert facilitates conversations that help people slow down, examine how they are thinking about organizational challenges, listen to different perspectives, and make visible assumptions that often go unquestioned. His Reflecting Pool Workshops create opportunities for participants to move beyond immediate solutions and explore the underlying patterns and perspectives shaping a problem.
His work is grounded in a simple premise: before organizations can solve difficult problems differently, people often need to learn to see them differently.
