About this Event
Cincinnati has a sister in Zimbabwe, and this December we are celebrating her.
Cincinnati and Harare, the capital of Zimbabwe, signed their Sister City friendship on August 4, 1990 and renewed it in 2026. A REBIRTH is the community party that marks the moment: an evening of great food, music, lights and new friendships at International Friendship Park Pavilion.
THE MUSIC
DJ Prymtime, the official DJ of FC Cincinnati, and TZB ENT (DJ Tizie B) take over the dance floor with international hits, disco, soul and funk, and close the night with a set together. Get ready for the Soul Train line, where everyone dances down the middle to a cheering crowd.
THE FOOD
Taste Zimbabwe. A Zimbabwean spread brings sadza, the maize-meal staple, together with savory stews and fresh greens. First-timers are especially welcome, and our hosts will happily explain every dish.
THE FUN
Play games with friends and neighbors of every age, enter the raffle, and watch for the surprise live auction. Proceeds support the Partnership's programs.
THE PARTNERSHIP
Between songs and plates, you will hear what the Cincinnati-Harare Sister City Partnership is building across four program areas: Public Health, Youth Education, Tour Delegations, and Trade and Investment. Committee members will be in the room, so introduce yourself and find a way to take part.
WHO SHOULD COME
Cincinnati families, students, young professionals, neighbors, community groups, business leaders, partners and board members. Anyone who loves good music, good food and a good party is invited.
