The HPL Foundation will host its 17th annual mingle murder mystery fundraiser A Night at the Library: Close Encounters of the Fatal Kind, on Saturday, October 17 at 7 pm.The adults-only event is a unique opportunity to enjoy music, heavy appetizers, and drinks (cash bar) in the stacks, all while becoming amateur sleuths to discover who-dunnit by the end of the night. Guests are encouraged (but not required) to dress the part and match the evening. This year, the library staff-written mystery takes place at the Close Encounters Conference, so think tinfoil hat, favorite alien costume, or dress to K*ll!
