About this Event
These performances are exclusively for schools.
Join Bell Shakespeare on this epic quest through the remarkable world inside the State Library of NSW.
A young student who is not a fan of reading or books spends one memorable night 'stuck' in the Library, discovering that there is far more to the Library and its contents than they ever imagined. Meeting real historical figures and characters from literature, they go on a magical journey of discovery connecting with the human stories behind the Library's vast collection.
The performance is suitable for Stage 2 and 3 students and the expected duration is 60 minutes. We encourage you to allow sufficient time at the Library to explore the areas and collections highlighted in the performance - don't miss our Shakespeare Room!
A Night at the Library is written by Joanna Erskine. This magical show is part of our 200 anniversary program.
