About this Event
Join us for a special screening of , followed by a community panel discussion on the future of public housing in New York City.
The film follows residents of Fulton and Elliott-Chelsea Houses as they organize to stop the proposed demolition of their homes. This screening comes at a critical moment. Residents are being pressured to relocate as NYCHA and private developers seek to move forward with the first phase of demolition, while residents continue fighting to remain in their homes and stop the demolition.
The evening will bring together residents, advocates, organizers, and community voices for a conversation about the challenges facing public housing, the decisions shaping its future, and what those changes mean for the people who call public housing home.
The event is presented by filmmaker Natasha Florentino, Nicholas Reyes, East Harlem Preservation, My Projects Runway, and Blacklining Foundation’s Dr. Sharon Gonzalez.
Admission is free but RSVP is required.
