It’s with extremely heavy hearts that we inform you our dear friend and founding member of Turboslacker, Nate Wainscott passed away earlier this month. He was a brilliant mind, a beautiful soul, and had an impossibly large personality. He is sorely missed.We’re hosting a celebration of life at his favorite haunt here in Dayton, Blind Bob’s on Sunday, November 8th at 3pm. We invite you to come celebrate and grieve one of the most captivating folks we’ve ever had the pleasure to have known.
The band will be coming out of hiatus to play a set with one of Nate’s closest friends and all around good dude Tim Hyland taking the lead on Nate’s songs.
There will be a suggested donation of $5 at the door to benefit the National Alliance on Mental Illness, and 100% of Turboslacker merch sales will go directly to this incredibly helpful non-profit.
We’ll be celebrating him with tall tales, community, and really loud music in lieu of a formal ceremony. Please join us <3
