❤️ Celebrating the Life of Kevin “Bally” Ballantyne ❤️Saturday, October 17th, 2026 | 12:00–4:00 PM

As we began looking deeper into Kevin’s favourite things, we realized that the date for his celebration could be much more than just a date. October 17th was chosen as a deep dive into the things that mattered to Kevin — his sports, his music, his friends, and the things that brought him joy.
We all knew Kevin’s love of sports, but perhaps none more than his beloved Toronto Maple Leafs and his favourite player, Wendel Clark. There was something fitting that 17 was both Kevin’s number and Wendel Clark’s number.
Then we turned to Kevin’s musical tastes, and once again, October 17th seemed to tell part of his story. At the top of Kevin’s playlists was The Tragically Hip, and October 17th is also the date that Gord Downie, the iconic lead singer of The Hip, passed away from cancer in 2017.
Whether coincidence or something more, October 17th just felt like the right day to celebrate Bally.
And what better way to celebrate him than with an afternoon filled with the things Kevin loved?
🍔 BALLY BURGERS — 12:00–2:00 PM
The Schmuck Truck will be serving up Bally Burgers from noon until 2:00 PM. Come hungry, grab some food and share a story or two.
🎶 THE SOUNDTRACK OF KEVIN'S LIFE
We'll be playing a playlist filled with Kevin’s favourite music — Canadiana, alternative rock and country — creating the soundtrack for an afternoon of memories, laughter and maybe a few sing-alongs.
🥂 A TOAST TO KEVIN — 2:00 PM
At 2:00 PM, we'll raise a glass together in Kevin’s honour.
Bring your favourite story, memory or simply your glass as we take a moment to remember the man, the friend and the personality that meant so much to so many.
📸 BRING YOUR MEMORIES
Bring your photos, stories and memories of Kevin to share.
Funny stories. Great stories. Stories that probably should never be told! Photos from over the years. Moments that bring a smile to your face.
These are the memories that keep Kevin’s spirit alive.
💃 AND THEN WE DANCE...
For the final part of the afternoon, we'll turn up the music and take the celebration to the dance floor.
Because if you knew Kevin, you know this isn't meant to be just a sad goodbye.
It's about celebrating his life.
It's about the music he loved, the sports he followed, the food he enjoyed, the people he cared about and the memories he left behind.
So come hungry.
Come with a story.
Come with a photo.
Come ready to laugh.
Come ready to raise a glass.
And most importantly...
Come ready to celebrate Bally. ❤️
