It's Three Kings Day, 1998. Behind the counter of her family's bodega, a girl keeps the night alive: the neighbors, the noise, the food, and the small rituals that turn a corner store into a whole world.Fresh from its Off-Broadway run at Ensemble Studio Theatre, A Bodega Princess Remembers La Fiesta de Los Reyes Magos, 1998 comes to Florida for the first time. Written and performed by Iraisa Ann Reilly, directed by José Avilés.
The play is set in a church banquet hall, so that's where we're staging it. The fellowship hall at First United Methodist seats just 35 people. You won't be watching the bodega from a distance. You'll be inside it.
