35TH ANNIVERSARY of this super rare screening of late Shozin Fuki's cyberpunk masterpiece !About this Event
CELEBRATING THE ARTISTIC CONTRIBUTIONS OF THE LATE SHOZIN FUKUI
+ HIS SHORT FILM: Gerorisuto (ゲロリスト),
A memory-wiped sex-slave cyborg is discarded by his owners and left to wander the streets of Tokyo. Unable to speak or to remember what he is, he is eventually ound and taken in by a mentally unstable homeless lady called Himiko.
Shozin Fukui's debut is Japanese cyberpunk at its most viseral and extreme: a film about bodies pushed past their biological limitations, and about the violence left in the wake of abandonment.
Overwhelmingly kinetic film with incredible industrial sound design, promises to be unlike anything else you will see this year!
Certificate 18. Running time: 97 mins.
2k restoration.
