In 2026, the NHMRC and partners released the Statement on Consumer and Community Involvement in Health and Medical Research (the Statement), with the aim of guiding involvement in all aspects of health and medical research.
Join us for the 8th Annual Consumer Engagement Forum, where we unpack and discuss how to bring the Statement to life for meaningful collaboration in research.
This forum is for those across all areas of health and medical research, from basic and clinical science, to health services and public health. Whether you are a person with lived experience, a researcher, someone who helps facilitate these relationships, or whether you are beginning your research or an expert in your field, this forum is open to everyone..
This interactive forum will bring together presentations, panel discussions and facilitated networking to showcase the work of lived experience experts and researchers who embody the values and principles outlined in the NHMRC Statement.
