Held in Columbia, South Carolina, this signature event honors the lives of those lost to gun and domestic violence while uplifting the families, especially mothers, who continue to stand in strength and resilience. Through the art of runway, these women courageously share their stories, walking not just in memory of their loved ones, but in their own power.
The event blends fashion, storytelling, and advocacy into a moving production featuring designers, models, and community leaders. Each segment is intentionally curated to create a space for women’s healing and empowerment, allowing attendees to witness the beauty of transformation through confidence, posture, and presence.
Recognized by the City of Columbia with an official proclamation, A Sun for My Sun is more than a fundraiser, it is a movement. Proceeds support Strut Talk Runway Therapy’s programs, which provide confidence coaching, mental and emotional wellness support, and resources for individuals and families impacted by trauma.
