Join-Us (ONE-TO-ONE SUPPORT) SEND Holiday Activity Sessions
Join-Us provides fun, multi-activity play opportunities for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) who are residents of Redcar & Cleveland and are aged 5 to 17 years.
To ensure groups meet regulatory requirements and maintain appropriate staffing ratios, sessions for children aged 5 up to 8 years run for 2 hours on either a morning or afternoon.
Children and young people aged 8 years and over can access a 4.5 hour session.
Various sites are used across the Borough with sessions costing £2.50 or £5.00 (payable on attendance).
Places are booked through the Eventbrite website on a first come, first served basis.
A member of staff will contact parents/carers to discuss any individual support needs prior to a child/young persons first attendance to ensure that appropriate support can be provided during sessions.
Children and young people attending should wear appropriate clothing, have a packed lunch/snacks/drinks (if attending the 4.5 hour sessions) and bring wipes/pads/pull-ups if needed.
Any Medic*tion needed whilst in sessions must be supplied in a clearly labelled and lockable container.
PLEASE NOTE: These Sessions are for children and young people that benefit from One-to-One Support.
If your child has not been identified by our service as requiring one-to-one support booking onto these sessions will not guarantee a place.
Children and young people who do not require one-to-one support can access activities through the Join-Us SEND Holiday Activity Sessions (also available to book via Eventbrite). We are currently unable to provide Two-to-One Support.
We reserve the right to review bookings where a child or young person's support needs indicate that a one-to-one provision would not be best suited to meet their individual support needs.
