Hellók! Újabb év folyt le a Dunán, és sok víz a Dip’n’Dive táján!7 évesek lettünk. Ennyi idő alatt volt pár helyszín, kiadvány, hajnal és jó néhány olyan találkozás, ami alakította azt, amit ma Dip’n’Dive-nak hívunk. A születésnapra ezért most olyan arcokat hívtunk magunk mellé, akiknek a munkásságára mi is régóta felnézünk.
Mátét ezer éve próbáljuk elhívni, de a csillagok valahogy sosem álltak úgy. Tolo neve hosszú ideje összeforrt a budapesti underground house-zal és a LavaLava világával; szelekcióiban pont azt a mélységet, játékosságot és zenei szabadságot szeretjük, ami minket is elindított ezen az úton. Most végre köreinkben köszönthetjük.
Másik maestrónkat talán még kevésbé kell bemutatni. Captain Knuckles több évtizede része a budapesti éjszakának: az illegál buliktól és a lemezgyűjtéstől az Aether és a RAW meghatározó rezidenséig vezetett az útja. Kevés ember mögött van ennyi tánctéren töltött év és ennyire ösztönös groove-érzék – örülünk, hogy most nálunk is megmutatja.
A reggel a TreeHouse crew-é: Moma és lakidani b2b-ben veszik át a stafétát. A crew az utóbbi évek egyik izgalmas fiatal hangja a budapesti house/minimal környékén, úgyhogy náluk jó helyen lesz a reggel.
Előttük és közöttük rezidenseink, Minoclue és Toro Lomo tartják mozgásban a történetet.
És mivel a Dip’n’Dive nekünk sosem csak arról szólt, ami a hangfalakból jön, a Viso Reactóval ismét előássuk a vizuálkelléktárat is. Pár cső, némi füst és fény – az ATNO tánctere pedig remélhetőleg reggelig egy kicsit máshol lesz, mint ahol hagytuk.

Hellooo!
Another year has flowed down the Danube, and quite a bit of water has passed through Dip’n’Dive too.
We’re turning 7. Seven years, ten releases, a fair few dancefloors and more sunrises than we can count. Along the way, there have been plenty of people, places and sounds that shaped what we now call Dip’n’Dive.
So for our birthday, we’re inviting some of the people whose work we’ve been looking up to for a long time.
We’ve been trying to get Máté to join us for ages, but somehow the stars never quite aligned. Tolo has been a defining figure of Budapest’s underground house scene and the world around LavaLava for years. There’s a depth, playfulness and freedom in his selections that resonates a lot with what got us into this in the first place. Finally, we get to welcome him into our little circle.
Our other maestro hardly needs an introduction. Captain Knuckles has been part of Budapest nightlife for decades, from collecting records and illegal parties to becoming one of the defining residents of Aether and RAW. Few people around here have spent this many years on dancefloors while keeping such an instinctive sense for groove. We’re very happy to have him behind the decks for this one.
As morning rolls in, the TreeHouse crew takes over with Moma and lakidani going b2b. We’ve been loving what’s been growing around their crew lately, so we’re more than happy to leave the sunrise in their hands.
Before and in between, our residents Minoclue and Toro Lomo keep the story moving.
And since Dip’n’Dive has never only been about what comes out of the speakers, we’re digging through the visual cupboard again together with Viso Reacto. A few tubes, some smoke and some light to make ATNO’s dancefloor feel slightly elsewhere until morning.
