Welcome to the Salsa Series: 2026 at The Dance Place Tulsa!
Start your year with movement, music, and community through this 6-week progressive Salsa program designed to build confidence, sharp technique, and effortless fun on the dance floor.

📅 SERIES DATES:
August 17th-September 21st, 2026 (Mondays)
• Beginner & Level 1 – 6:00 PM
• Intermediate – 7:00 PM
Each week builds on the last, so you’ll grow in rhythm, foundation, connection, and styling throughout the series.

💃 WHAT TO EXPECT:
Whether you’re brand new or leveling up, this series will help you:
Beginner (6 PM)
Perfect for those with little to no Salsa experience or those wanting to refine their basics. You’ll learn:
✔ Core footwork & timing
✔ Lead/follow connection
✔ Essential turns & patterns
✔ Confidence on the social dance floor
Level 1 (6 PM)
Must have completed Beginner Salsa
✔ Comfortable with Cross Body Lead with outside turn & inside turns
✔ Right turns and Left turns
✔ Continuation of patterns and Shines.
Intermediate (7 PM)
For dancers comfortable with basics and ready for more challenge. You’ll learn:
✔ Turn variations & direction changes
✔ Partnerwork combinations
✔ Styling, rhythm, and musicality
✔ Techniques that make your dancing smooth & controlled

✨ WHAT TO BRING:
• Comfortable shoes that allow you to pivot. Avoid rubber-soled shoes that grip the floor. No flip flops.
• Wear comfortable clothes that allow for full range of motion such as athletisure. Jeans, Leggings, or loose clothing is acceptable.
• Water
• A positive attitude—no partner required!

💛 WHO THIS SERIES IS FOR:
Anyone wanting to learn Salsa in a welcoming, structured, and fun environment. Solo dancers, couples, and friends are all welcome!
TERMINOLOGY:
LEADER: The Lead is responsible for guiding the follower into each dance step through various signals.
FOLLOWER: Moves and processes the Lead's guidance.
STUDIO POLICY:
1) Due to limited class size: NO WALKS-IN! MUST REGISTER ONLINE OR BY PHONE!
2) If you do not feel well, please let us know.
