5x5 Theatre Launch Night

5×5 is a night of immediate theatre which brings together five writers to create five brand-new short plays, each sparked by a singular provocation and performed for the very first time.

Theme: 'Nature' is the theme for our launch night, which can be be taken as literally or as wildly as each writer dares.

Writers: Deborah Frances-White · Jess Cole · Julia Grogan · Elliot Barnes-Worrell · Morgan Lloyd Malcolm, plus special guest Jonnie Fielding.

Post show panel: 5 x 5 team and Green Rider discuss theatre as a changemaking space, and climate activism in storytelling with Green Rider.

Tickets are tiered: Please take the ticket that reflects what you can give.

Every tier gets the same extraordinary night. No one will be turned away for lack of funds, please get in touch if you need.

5×5 is run entirely by people generously donating their time. We'd love to grow this initiative and continue to ensure that participants from all economic backgrounds and experience levels can take part, creating a space where established and emerging artists can truly experiment and collaborate. But that takes real resource.

The Venue: The Conduit, 6 Langley Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JA

The Conduit is an inherently eco-friendly, impactful and change making space. We are delighted to be bringing 5 x 5 here, and it inspired our theme 'Nature'.

Pre-theatre drinks and dining: In addition to hosting our show in The Forum, a stunning high spec performance space, The Conduit will be opening up their beautiful Ubuntu lunge bar early at 6pm for drinks, and we will all be reconvening there post-show to continue the night with DJ, Drinks and Dancing!

We are also pleased to announce that pre-theatre dining is available in the Rucola restaurant, do plan ahead by emailing [email protected] quoting "5 x 5".
