The Horizon instantly transforms the atmospheric environment inside the cup. It uses an integrated pressure sensor and active modulation to create a controlled low-pressure environment, removing oxygen and carbon dioxide while keeping delicate aromatic compounds. This results in smoother mouthfeel, rounded acidity, and enhanced natural sweetness, revealing the coffee’s intrinsic flavor. The Horizon is now available for pre-order.
Acaia was founded with a simple and challenging mission: to combine design and technology in the specialty coffee community. We imagine and create products that elevate our industry.
From the beginning, Formative was designed to change the perceptions around coffee in the UK. Our founder, Ian Kissick, built everything on the idea that we can create extraordinary coffee experiences amid the chaos of central London. Formative opened in Victoria in March 2019.
