4th Mobilizing for Climate: Active Transportation! This year, we’re bringing people together to talk about active transportation in Thunder Bay — how we move around our community, what makes it easier or harder to walk, bike, roll, and use other low-emission ways of getting around, and what we can do together to make change happen.
📅 Saturday, October 17, 2026
🕙 10:00 AM–3:00 PM
📍 The Outpost, Lakehead University
Come for the full day if you can. Doors open at 9:30 AM so there will be time to arrive, grab a name tag, meet people, and settle in.
We’ll have Elder-led opening and closing, community conversations, activities, stories, creative work, and a chance to learn more about active transportation initiatives happening in Thunder Bay. We’ll also end the day with a Ride / Walk / Roll along the new Oliver Road Trail.
Lunch is provided, and attendance is free. Donations are welcome.
Everyone is invited — all ages and all kinds of movers. You don’t have to be a cyclist or an expert. Just bring your ideas, your curiosity, and your willingness to connect.
🚲 Bike parking is available
🚌 Accessible by Routes 2, 9 and 15
🚗 Free weekend parking at Lakehead University
🎨 Child-welcoming activities throughout the day
