About this Event
We are pleased to announce that this year’s Cemetery Day will be held at the Cementerio Español.
As is our custom, our good friend Andrew Lumish will join us to lead a refresher course on the tombstone cleaning process. Andrew will provide all required cleaning products, brushes, and portable water reservoirs/hand pumps.
Since we will also conduct general cleanup activities and minor repairs, feel free to bring personal hand tools such as shovels, rakes, brooms, and hand spades. The Centro will provide work gloves & vests, but you may also want to bring a folding chair or two for resting.
For this year’s event, the Centro is pleased to offer current and past members the opportunity to have specific family tombstones restored. If you have a loved one resting in our cemetery and would like our volunteers to clean or refurbish their tombstone, please let us know via email or phone, and we will make every effort to accommodate your request.
We really need the same big turnout we had last year to give our cemetery the love it deserves, so please come on out to help. We look forward to seeing you there!
