PRAGUE CHRISTMAS MARKET
4 DAYS 29 NOVEMBER TO 2 DECEMBER
The two main Christmas markets are in Old Town Square and Wenceslas Square, both right in the heart of Prague. The markets are scheduled to run from 28 November 2026 to 6 January 2027. Wenceslas Square is expected to open daily from 10am–10pm.
Expect rows of festive stalls selling handmade Czech gifts, Christmas decorations, crafts and souvenirs, alongside plenty of food and warming drinks. Wenceslas Square will also have music, choirs and other seasonal entertainment during the Christmas period.
One of the highlights is simply wandering around Old Town Square after dark, when the Christmas tree and surrounding historic buildings are illuminated. The square is surrounded by some of Prague's most famous architecture, including the Church of Our Lady before Týn and Old Town Hall.
Experience the Magic of Prague at Christmas
Spend four wonderful days discovering Prague during one of the most magical times of the year. Wander through the beautifully illuminated Christmas markets, browse traditional stalls for unusual gifts and decorations, enjoy festive food and warming drinks, and soak up the wonderful Christmas atmosphere.
We'll have plenty of time to explore Old Town Square and Wenceslas Square, as well as Prague's beautiful historic streets, shops, cafés and famous sights.
We will be staying at a beautiful 5-star hotel with complimentary access to the wellness area, which includes the steam room, sauna, swimming pool once per day during your stay.
As always, the name of the hotel will be disclosed once your trip has been paid for in full.
This trip is for a maximum of 12 people, however once I have a minimum of 4 people confirmed, I will go ahead and book our flights and accommodation. If we do not reach 4 people, you will receive a full refund.
Please remember to send me your full name exactly as it appears on your passport and your date of birth, as I will need these details to purchase your flight tickets.
The 5-star hotel is located just outside the city centre, but the train station is only a stone’s throw away, making it very easy for us to travel into the centre and explore. A 72 hour travel pass is included on this trip, so no need to worry about paying for travelling for the first 72 hrs.
Please note: This trip may involve quite a lot of walking. If you have serious mobility difficulties or find walking for longer periods challenging, this may not be the most suitable trip for you.

Itinerary
Day 1: Sun 29 Nov
Old Town & Main Markets
On arrival we are transferred to our hotel. Check in and explore the local surroundings at your own pace. Use spa or we can visit Old Town Square market — stalls, 25m Christmas tree, nativity scene, Astronomical Clock hourly shows. Try mulled wine (svařák), trdelník, grilled sausage. Walk 5 mins to Wenceslas Square — second market, ice rink. Evening — lit up squares, magical atmosphere.
Grab dinner in a cosy restaurant, before heading back to our hotel.
Day 2: Mon 30 Nov
Today after breakfast, you can use spa facilities, get pampered or explore the age-old icon of the Czech Republic of the Prague Castle complex. Travel back through 11 centuries of Czech history as you look inside castle courtyards and the landmark monuments such as St Vitus Cathedral.
4PM— MEDIEVAL DINNER — UNLIMITED DRINKS!
We visit Old Town) — authentic 14th-century underground tavern
to enjoy a delicious 3-course medieval meal with unlimited drinks. You'll be entertained by a special medieval style performance, full of music, dance and much more.
- UNLIMITED beer, wine & soft drinks ALL EVENING — free-flowing Czech beer, Moravian wine, no limits!
Options available for dinner are pork, poultry, fish, vegetarian, vegan or gluten-free menu Please let me know which one you prefer.
This is a 2.5-hour medieval performance
- LIVE ENTERTAINMENT: Sword fights, fire show, jugglers, belly dancers, medieval music — all performed around our table !
- 2.5–3 hours of pure spectacle — candlelit cellars, oak tables, costumed staff — total time travel!
Day 3: Tue 1st Dec
Free Time
After breakfast an opportunity to us the spa.
We later sail on a cruise at 3pm, admiring Charles Bridge, Prague Castle, Kampa Island and other highlights of Prague from the water on a popular Vltava River boat trip.
Explore Hidden Gems
Havelská historic market, quiet Old Town courtyards. Riegrovy Sady — park views + local market. Final gifts at Old Town or Wenceslas Square. Riverbank photos — castle & bridge reflections.
Day : Wed 4th Dec
Last day, we have a late flight at 9pm
Check out is at 11.30 am, you may wish to extend for a later check out in order spend time in spa or explore more of Prague.
Possibly a guided walk to Explore Prague's historical Jewish Quarter and visit the city's Old Town on a guided walking tour. See top sights from the outside, like the Jewish Cemetery, and learn about Prague's Jewish history.
