About this Event
Buddhism is the practice of Buddha's teachings, also known as “Dharma”, which means "protection." By putting these instructions into practice, we can protect our minds from inner turbulence, overcome daily stress and suffering, and fulfill our deepest wishes for lasting peace and happiness.
In this brief four-part series, we will explore some of the essential aspects of Buddhism, such as rebirth, karma, samsara (the cycle of suffering), nirvana (liberation from suffering), and the path to enlightenment. Each class will include open time for Q&A with the Teacher of this series, Gen Rabka, so please feel free to bring along any questions you may have.
Week 1 : Rebirth and the continuity of consciousness
Week 2 : The law of karma (cause and effect)
Week 3 : Samsara, renunciation and the path to nirvana
Week 4 : Tantra, bodhichitta and the path to enlightenment
