M Frierson Therapy | A Healing Space invites families and loved ones to our 3rd Annual Wave of Light, a community remembrance gathering honoring pregnancies and babies who are loved, remembered, and carried with us.
October 15 is recognized as Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day. At 7:00 PM local time, families light candles or lights in remembrance, creating a Wave of Light across communities.
This year, we're creating two ways to participate.
Join the Remembrance Walk
Beginning at 6:30 PM, families will gather at Shaker Lakes along South Park Boulevard on the Larchmere side.
Registered families will receive a remembrance light, resource bag, and time to gather before the walk.
At 7:00 PM, we will light a symbolic remembrance light, pause together for a brief reflection and the sound of singing bowls, and begin our Remembrance Walk around Shaker Lakes.
Following the walk, families will return to our gathering area and receive a Life Blooms flower to carry home.
Wave of Light at Home
We know that being physically present at a remembrance gathering isn't right for everyone.
A limited number of Wave of Light at Home Kits will be available for families who would prefer to participate privately.
Each kit will include a remembrance light, reflection and remembrance materials, and supportive pregnancy and infant loss resources.
At 7:00 PM, you're invited to light your remembrance light from wherever you are and join the Wave of Light in your own way.
You don't have to be ready to gather with us to be part of the circle.

In-Person Remembrance Walk — FREE
Includes a remembrance light, resource bag, Remembrance Walk, and Life Blooms flower.
Wave of Light at Home Kit — FREE
Limited quantities available. Pickup information will be provided to registered participants.
What to Know
The Remembrance Walk will take place outdoors. Please dress for the weather and wear comfortable walking shoes.
Our gathering point will be at Shaker Lakes along South Park Boulevard on the Larchmere side.
When you arrive, look for the M Frierson Therapy | A Healing Space logo/signage to locate our group.
Additional arrival, parking, and gathering-point details will be emailed to registered participants as we get closer to the event.
There is no expectation to speak, share your story, or participate in any particular way. Family members and loved ones are welcome.
Wave of Light is a community remembrance and wellness gathering and is not group psychotherapy or a substitute for mental health or medical care.
