Downtown LA’s Brightest Night of the Year: Thursday, Dec. 3
Kick off the holiday season at the opening night of Grand Illuminations at California Plaza (350 S. Grand Ave.), with dazzling light installations by LA-based Liquid PXL and festivities from noon into the night.
The fun starts at lunchtime with a Holiday Market curated by The Goddess Mercado. In the evening, stay for a full lineup of live entertainment: a holiday variety show, the tree lighting, a live band, and DJ sets to close out the night. Best of all, it’s free and open to all.
Schedule (entertainment lineup subject to change):
- 12–8 PM: Holiday Market and Para Los Niños Toy Drive
- 4:15–5 PM: DJ set
- 5–5:15 PM: The Colburn School’s Concert Choir
- 5:30–5:45 PM: Debbie Allen Dance Academy’s cast of The Hot Chocolate Nutcracker
- 5:45–6 PM: Countdown and tree lighting with Santa
- 6–7 PM: Luis Villegas’ Guitarras de Navidad
- 7–9 PM: DJ sets by Sweet Nectar Music
