Thirty editions. Thousands of young journalists. One authentic newsroom experience.
For 30 editions, Word Cup Philippines has challenged student journalists to step beyond the classroom and experience journalism where stories actually happen. This milestone edition continues that tradition by placing delegates in real reporting situations that build confidence, competence, and credibility.
What makes Word Cup different? Instead of simulated exercises, you'll:
🗞 Report under real newsroom conditions.
🎤 Cover a LIVE Press Conference with resource persons and ask the questions that matter.
🥊 Report on an actual kickboxing/archery event, sharpening your sports writing through firsthand observation and deadline-driven reporting.
📝 Compete in National Journalism Contests that test your accuracy, creativity, critical thinking, and ethical decision-making.
🎙 Learn directly from media practitioners, editors, journalists, and industry experts through inspiring learning sessions.
Whether you're an aspiring reporter, editor, broadcaster, photojournalist, or publication adviser, this is your opportunity to develop the skills today's media landscape demands.
