*3-Day Training Program on Advanced Braille and Introduction to Functional Vision Assessment**Karachi – October 10, 2026:*
The Special Education Teachers Training Academy Sindh (SETTAS) under the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPD), Government of Sindh, in collaboration with Ida Rieu Welfare Association, is organizing a 3-Day Training Program on *"Advanced Braille and Introduction to Functional Vision Assessment"*.
The training will be held from *12th to 14th October 2026 at Ida Rieu College for the Blind and Deaf, Numaish, Karachi.*
Teachers of visually impaired children from all over Sindh will participate in this specialized training. The objective of the training is to enhance the professional capacity of teachers in advanced Braille literacy and to equip them with the skills of Functional Vision Assessment for children with low vision, in order to improve inclusive and quality education.
Experts and master trainers from the field of visual impairment will conduct the sessions.
