2nd Saturday Bicycle Repair Event

Note:  Past volunteers of Silicon Valley Bicycle Exchange who are familiar enough to work independently and guide others are welcome as walk-ins and do not need to order a ticket on Eventbrite.

Event Details:

• Hands-On Learning: Gain practical experience with tools and techniques.
• When you arrive instructional material #1 and #2 will provide step by step guidance.
• Experienced mentor mechanics will be available to help work on repairs and maintenance issues.
• Work alone or in groups
• Bikes repaired by our volunteers are donated through our partner organizations. Click here to find out more information about our partners.

Who Should Attend:

• This event is open to all ages and skill levels. Whether you're a beginner, intermediate or advanced, this event offers a supportive environment to enhance your bike maintenance skills.
• Children under 18 attending for the first time must be accompanied by a parent, and must sign a liability waiver.
• There is limited capacity for this event, so please only register if you have high confidence you will attend. If that changes, please cancel your order if you are no longer able to make it so others who want to attend, can attend.

What to Expect:

• Indoor and covered outdoor work stations. Tools and supplies provided.
• Community Connection: Meet fellow biking enthusiasts
• Provide more bikes to people in need.
• Pizza lunch provided

What to Bring:

• Signed liability waiver
• Clothes you can get dirty
• Comfy, closed toe shoes
• No loose jewelry
• Water, snacks
