`'Institutional violence and its impact on women’s human rights across Europe'
About this Event
The 2023 WAVE Conference 'Institutional violence and its impact on women's human rights across Europe' will take place in Madrid, Spain. It is organized by the WAVE Network in cooperation with the Spanish WAVE Member Fundación para la convivencia Aspacia (Foundation Aspacia).
The 24th WAVE Conference will take place from the 16th –17th October 2023, with the first day being open to the general public and WAVE Members, while the second day is only open to WAVE Members.
This year’s WAVE Conference will focus on the pervasive impact of institutional violence on women and girls, the different forms in which it manifests, and the key role women’s specialist services have in denouncing and undoing this type of violence. By looking at violence against women and girls through a multidisciplinary lens, the conference will focus on the link between institutional violence and state accountability.
