Here are our programs. Tickets can be purchased individually.
Friday, February 26, 2027: School visits (8:00-3:00 p.m.) - This year’s experience will focus exclusively on Elementary Dual Language programs. Participants will spend the day visiting classrooms, connecting with educators, and seeing powerful bilingual learning in action. It’s a chance to explore real‑world models, gather ideas, and deepen our collective vision for DLBE across Oregon. OABE will provide transportation and meals, so attendees can fully immerse themselves in the learning and collaboration.$200 per ticket (Includes membership. Additional fees may apply).
Friday, February 26, 2027: OABE Leadership Reception (5:30 pm-8:00 pm) - Dual Language and school district leaders around the state are invited to join the OABE's reception with other program leaders to network and support bilingualism and multiculturalism in our community. $100 per person (Includes membership. Additional fees may apply).
Saturday, February 27, 2027: One-day Institute (8:30 am-4:30 pm) - join OABE's one-day conference to learn about best practices from the field and to inform and advance your program efforts. This is your chance to learn straight from educational advocates who work hard to create educational access for all students, their families, and their communities (Prices include membership).
First Registration Window – $300 per person (Register by Friday, December 22, 2026)
Second Registration Window – $350 per person (Register by Friday, January 26, 2027)
Third Registration Window – $400 per person (Register by Friday, February 5, 2027)
February 26-27, 2027: Institutional Membership: Includes 7 Saturday Conference slots & 2 Friday Leadership slots. (Prices include membership).
First Registration Window - $2000 (Register by December 22, 2026)
Second Registration Window - $1,300 (Register by January 26, 2027)
February 26-27, 2027: EPP Institutional Membership: It includes two program leaders/administrators for the Friday Leadership Reception, two in‑service educators/faculty, and up to ten pre‑service teachers for the Saturday One‑Day Institute, with pre‑service teachers required to be currently enrolled in a teacher preparation program; Friday school visits are not included. (Prices include membership).

2027 OABE One-day Winter Institute February 27, 2027
Info: The Oregon Association for Bilingual Education (OABE) is organizing a one‑day institute on Saturday, February 27, 2027, hosted by Portland State University at the University Place Hotel. At OABE, we bring together leading practitioners and academic experts in dual language bilingual education to share the latest research, information, and instructional practices for emerging bilinguals and biliteracy programs.
