About this Event
Join STEMteachersNYC, SCONYC, and NYC Men Teach at CUNY City Tech on Sunday, March 7, 2027, for the annual Celebration of STEM Teaching, Learning, and Community! This celebration will bring together teachers & educators, community and informal organizations, scientists, and more for a day of learning and conversation! Whether you’re an experienced teacher, new to the classroom, a college student preparing to teach, an administrator, a scientist working with teachers, or are someone exploring a change within the profession, we welcome your perspective and experience.
Throughout the day, we’ll gather for:
- Workshops that invite us to explore STEM ideas and teaching practices.
- Panels and conversations about science, education, and professional pathways, including a career-changers panel within teaching.
- Keynote speakers sharing their work and experiences.
- An exhibit hall where we can connect with organizations and explore resources and demonstrations.
- Participant stories that bring our community’s experiences into the conversation.
- Community awards recognizing contributions to STEM teaching and learning.
This year, we’re bringing scientists and teachers together to share skills, explore ideas, and connect the work of science with the work of teaching. How can scientists and educators learn from one another? What can those connections make possible for our classrooms and our professional growth?
Come share your questions, your experience, and your expertise. Together, we’ll celebrate the people and connections that support our work—and explore new ways to learn from each other.
