About this Event
Sharing Stories Summit 2026: The Rose That Grew From Concrete
Our beginnings shape us. They don’t have to define our future.
Join Just Us 4 Youth for an evening of restorative justice storytelling that brings youth, young adults, families, and community violence intervention practitioners together through honest stories of hardship, redemption, healing, and change.
Under this year’s theme, “The Rose That Grew From Concrete,” speakers will share how experiences with violence, poverty, justice involvement, and other barriers shaped their lives, and how relationships, support, and opportunity helped them grow.
Rooted in the experiences of inner-city communities, Sharing Stories creates space to challenge stereotypes, explore conflict resolution, and recognize the power of youth development and community violence intervention in building safer futures.
What to expect:
- Personal stories of struggle, resilience, accountability, and transformation.
- Audience questions and meaningful conversations with speakers.
- Brief sound bath and guided breathing activities.
- Recognition of people making a difference in our communities.
This gathering is especially for youth and young adults navigating difficult circumstances, the families who love them, and the people working alongside them in violence prevention, mentoring, and community care.
We’re coming together to listen, connect, and give people their flowers in real time.
