ABOUT THE 2026 QUEENSLAND VOLUNTEERING CONFERENCEDesigned to inspire, unite, invigorate and challenge volunteering practitioners, the conference provides a platform to share practice, explore emerging challenges, and exchange insights grounded in real-world experience. The program combines practical content, inspiring storytelling, and exploration of state-wide, national, and global trends in volunteering and volunteer management.
CONFERENCE THEME
This year’s theme, Volunteering for Sustainable Futures, reflects a sector-wide focus on sustainability — not simply maintaining volunteer participation, but strengthening how we connect communities, design solutions, and demonstrate impact.
The program explores how meaningful connections foster belonging and retention; how participation models can be designed to respond to changing needs; and how strong practice and leadership underpin long-term impact.
