About this Event
Join the Osler Research Institute for Health Innovation (ORIHI) for its 2026 Research and Innovation Symposium, themed Advancing Research, Innovation and Health Equity.
Taking place during Celebrate Research Week, the symposium will bring together researchers, health care professionals, learners, community partners, industry representatives and health-system leaders to share emerging knowledge, build collaborations and explore opportunities to improve health and health care.
The program will feature a keynote address, presentations and panel discussions highlighting research and innovation across ORIHI’s three research pillars: Personalized Health, Health Systems and Population Health. Attendees will also have opportunities to engage with poster presenters and exhibitors and connect with colleagues from across the health research and innovation community.
Please note that photography and video recording will be taking place during the conference.
Virtual Attendance:
Delegates may attend online. All sessions (except for live poster presentations) will be livestreamed on the day of the event.
Refund Policy:
Refunds are accepted up to 14 days before the event start date. All approved refund requests will be issued a partial refund consisting of the ticket price minus a $10.00 administrative fee per ticket.

The Osler Research Institute for Health Innovation (ORIHI) invites researchers, health care practitioners, students, and community partners to submit abstracts for poster presentation at the ORIHI Research and Innovation Symposium on November 20, 2026. The symposium is part of Celebrate Research Week 2026, a multidisciplinary initiative showcasing impactful research and innovation across healthcare and community settings. Selected symposium sessions will be livestreamed for virtual attendees and recorded for subsequent viewing.
Submissions should highlight work aligned with one or more of ORIHI’s three research pillars: Personalized Health, Health Systems, and Population Health.
We welcome submissions from a broad range of disciplines, sectors, and communities that support ORIHI’s vision of improving health through collaboration, inclusion, and innovation.
Presentation Formats
Abstracts may be submitted for poster presentation only.
Submission Themes
Please indicate the research pillar that best aligns with your submission:
Personalized Health – Research and innovation that tailor prevention, diagnosis, treatment or care to an individuals’ genetic, environmental, clinical and lifestyle factors.
Health Systems – Research and innovation that supports equitable, accessible, effective and efficient healthcare delivery.
Population Health – Research and initiatives that improve health outcomes across communities through upstream, preventative and equity-focused approaches.
Review Process
The selection committee comprises representatives from the ORIHI Research Council and the Community Based Research Advisory Committee. submissions will be evaluated based on their relevance, methodological quality, and potential impact.
