About this Event
4-H Day at the South Carolina State Fair
Mark your calendars for 4-H Day at the SC State Fair—Saturday, October 17, 2026!
Current South Carolina 4-H members receive FREE admission to the State Fair on 4-H Day when they wear 4-H gear or present their current 4-H membership card.
Oconee 4-H — Are You Going?
Register here to let me know that you intend to attend!
This registration is not your State Fair admission ticket. It helps me identify our Oconee County families who are planning to attend so that I can:
- Make sure you have what you need to verify your current 4-H membership for free admission
- Coordinate our Oconee County representation in the Parade of Counties and county roll call
- Share 4-H Day schedules, meeting locations, and other details as they become available
- Connect Oconee families who will be at the Fair
- Determine whether any youth need help with transportation/chaperoning
I will update this Eventbrite description and email registered participants as additional 2026 4-H Day details become available—so please register even if your plans aren't completely firm yet!
4-H Day Ceremony & Parade of Counties
One of the highlights of 4-H Day is the statewide gathering of 4-H members and the Parade of Counties, hosted by the SC 4-H Teen Council.
I would LOVE to have Oconee County youth there to represent us!
- 12:45 PM — Meet at the Nutt Cattle Arena to pick up the Oconee County sign and line up for the Parade of Counties
- 1:00 PM — 4-H Day Ceremony begins
- No separate Parade of Counties sign-up is required
If you register here, I’ll use this Eventbrite to coordinate our Oconee group and share any additional meeting details.
Membership Requirement
Current 2026–27 4-H membership is required to receive the 4-H Day free-admission benefit.
If you haven't renewed since the new 4-H year began on September 1, enroll or renew in 4HOnline.
Registering for this Eventbrite does not enroll you in 4-H.
Transportation & Custodial Care
At this time, this is NOT a custodial-care event. Parents/guardians or another responsible adult should plan to attend the Fair and supervise their youth.
However, please don't let transportation or the lack of an available chaperone keep a youth from expressing interest. If there is enough need, I am willing to explore transportation for a small group of Oconee 4-H youth.
If we offer transportation/custodial care, a second approved adult 4-H volunteer will be required, and participating youth will receive separate instructions and requirements. Until that arrangement is specifically confirmed, families should plan for their own transportation and youth supervision.
More Information Coming!
The State Fair will publish its full daily schedule, livestock shows, competitions, and 4-H Day activities closer to the event. I'll add confirmed 2026 information here and send updates directly to everyone registered through this Eventbrite.
For now: save October 17, register here if you're interested, renew your 4-H membership, and help Oconee show up for 4-H Day!
