About this Event
2026 Melnick Symposium: Mediating in the Public Eye
A one-of-a-kind opportunity to engage in reflective practice with mediators at the forefront of complex, high-profile, multi-party conflicts. These mediators are on the frontlines of disputes involving environmental policy, land use, armed conflict, global finance, sexual abuse, and polarized political debates. Sitting in facilitated dialogue, these mediators will reflect on their work - sharing common challenges and lessons - and the skills and truths that have helped them to become the leading mediators in their respective fields.
Reflective practice participants include Howard Bellman, Howard Gadlin, Janine Geske, Nokukhanya Nox Ntuli, Lucy Moore, Susan Podziba, and Fleur Ravensbergen. For the final session of the symposium, the mediators will engage in reflective practice and dialogue with Professors Kristen Blankley, Noam Ebner, Michael Moffit, and Nancy Welsh who will pose questions and share additional reflections and commentary.
