About this Event
Participate in the 8th Annual Leonard Stringer Memorial Airport Loop Bike Ride to support WLCVTA's (wlcvta.org) work to create the White Lick Creek Greenway and Vandalia Trail on the west side of Indianapolis! You can bike 4-18 mile routes. The ride is held in memory of WLCVTA founder and former President Leonard Stringer.
- 8:30 a.m. – Registration/Meet & Greet
- 9 a.m. – Advanced Loop Bike Ride Begins
- 9:10 a.m. – Recreational Bike Ride Begins
Even if you don't ride, you can support the WLCVTA, explore the future Vandalia Trail route in the area, and learn more about the proposed greenway and trail at the community tables. Participants will meet in the church parking lot, located at 9039 W Washington Street in Indianapolis.
Purchase your ticket by or on September 21 to receive a T-shirt!
Ticket is required to participate. All participants participate at their own risk. No rain date is planned. Tickets are non-refundable.

Airport Loop Advanced Bike Ride
10–15 mph speed in police-escorted group, several notable hills, includes more industrial areas of airport. For 18 miles, add Recreational route on N. & W. Perimeter Roads.

Airport Recreational & Family Bike Ride
No speed requirements, scenic and flat course all on shoulders on W & N Perimeter Roads, 10-mile Loop riders can add miles with these 4 & 8 mile routes.
