Join us Saturday, Oct. 17, from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. for a special Homecoming Open House at the Tedrick Welcome Center! As alumni, friends and community members return to campus for SIU Homecoming, we invite you to explore one of the university's newest landmarks. Whether you're visiting for the first time or returning to see more, this is a great opportunity to experience all the Tedrick Welcome Center has to offer.
Opened in May 2026, the 44,000-square-foot facility serves as a welcoming gateway to SIU and the new home of the SIU Foundation. The facility was funded through Foundation resources and philanthropy, including a $6 million leadership gift from Roger and Sally Tedrick, without taxpayer dollars, tuition, student fees or state funding.
Explore the state-of-the-art facility, featuring interactive displays that showcase SIU's academic programs, student experiences, traditions and achievements. Discover the innovative technology and experiences designed to connect prospective students, alumni and visitors with everything that makes SIU special.
We look forward to welcoming alumni, friends and community members to this exciting new space during Homecoming! A variety of food and refreshments will be available while supplies last.
