⏰ Voting hours are 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on all three voting days.

WHO CAN VOTE?
You may be eligible to vote as a resident elector if you:
✅ Are a Canadian citizen
✅ Are 18 years of age or older on General Voting Day
✅ Have lived in British Columbia for at least six months immediately before registering to vote
✅ Are a resident of Dawson Creek when you register to vote
✅ Are not disqualified from voting by law
You may also be eligible to vote as a Non-Resident Property Elector if you own property within Dawson Creek but live elsewhere. Additional eligibility requirements apply.
🪪 REGISTERING TO VOTE
There is no need to pre-register for the 2026 election. Dawson Creek uses same-day voter registration, so eligible voters will register when they arrive at the voting place.
Voters must bring two pieces of identification that together show who you are and where you live. At least one piece of identification must contain your signature.
Photo identification is not required.
Examples of identification may include:• BC Driver’s Licence
• BC Identification Card
• BC Services Card
• Citizenship Card
• Credit or Debit Card
• ICBC Vehicle Registration
• Social Insurance Number Card
• Property Tax Notice
• Utility Bill
♿ ACCESSIBLE VOTING
Accessible voting options are available for eligible electors, including:
• Wheelchair-accessible voting places
• Curbside voting for electors who are unable to enter the voting place
• Assistance from an election official, translator or support person
