Step into the movement, rhythm, and spirit of African dance and drumming with Djoli Kelen’s annual Choreography & Performance Intensive.
This season, dancers and drummers will come together for an immersive training experience focused on technique, musicality, choreography, cultural connection, performance quality, and ensemble work. Participants will learn and develop choreography throughout the intensive, building toward a live performance during the 2027 Djoli Kelen Black History African Dance & Drum Festival.
✨ Special Guest Choreographer: Zalika Reid
This intensive is designed for artists who are ready to challenge themselves, deepen their practice, work collaboratively, and experience the power of bringing dance and live percussion together on stage.
