EVENT OVERVIEW
THE BATTLE IS BACK!
Cocoa Pearlesque Presents is bringing you the 5th Annual Burlesque Gotz Skillz Dance Competition, and this year 16 competitors are stepping onto the stage ready to BATTLE!
Burlesque Gotz Skillz isn't your typical burlesque competition. This is where prepared performance meets improvisation, and performers have to prove they can do more than deliver a polished routine. They have to think on their feet, command the stage, adapt to the unexpected, and show us what they've GOT when the pressure is ON.
Our competitors will begin by bringing their own prepared acts to the stage—but after that, all bets are off.
As the competition moves forward, performers will face head-to-head improv battles, unexpected music, eliminations, and challenges designed to test their creativity, musicality, stage presence, confidence, and ability to PERFORM in the moment.
No rehearsed choreography to save you.
No knowing exactly what's coming next.
Just you, the music, the stage, and your SKILLZ.
A panel of four judges—with the possibility of a surprise fifth judge 👀— will have the difficult job of deciding who continues through the competition and who gets eliminated until one performer proves they have what it takes to become the 2026 Burlesque Gotz Skillz Champion!
And trust us—the audience is part of the energy. Come ready to scream, cheer, clap, tip, and show these competitors some LOVE!
