The 2026 theme, “Threads of Innovation,” reflects Winston-Salem’s identity as the City of Arts and Innovation and celebrates the many creative threads connecting the city’s past, present and future. Through fashion, WSFW brings together designers, models, students, stylists, retailers, photographers, businesses and community partners to showcase talent while creating opportunities for the next generation of creative professionals.
On Friday, September 25 at 7:00 p.m., WSFW presents its Opening Night Runway Showcase at MUSE Winston-Salem, 226 N. Liberty Street. Headlined by Gildan Company, the evening will feature fashion presentations, the Project RunSlay Collegiate Competition, and the Youth Category Runway sponsored by JCPenney, creating a multigenerational runway experience that celebrates emerging talent.
The season concludes Saturday, September 26 at 1:00 p.m. with the Designer & Retail Runway Showcase at historic Union Station, 300 S. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, Winston-Salem. The showcase will feature regional designers, stylists and retailers while highlighting the diversity and creativity of the fashion community.
