Venue: Kennedy Lecture Theatre, UCL Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health, 30 Guilford St, London, WC1N 1EH

We are delighted to announce that registrations for the 2024 UCL Cancer Symposium are now open!

The Symposium, organised by the UCL Cancer Domain, is UCL’s flagship cross-faculty cancer research event, showcasing the incredible range of exciting and impactful research taking place at UCL. The event connects researchers from a uniquely wide range of disciplines, across all career levels, and showcases UCL’s leading position in this field.

We are very pleased to be able to announce a keynote address from Professor Charles Swanton. Other session themes and talks will include childhood cancer, health data in cancer research, and cross-disciplinary approaches including robotic surgery and advanced healthcare delivery models.

Register today and mark your calendar for UCL’s flagship cancer event, with the full symposium programme to follow.

Why attend?

The UCL Cancer Symposium is free to attend and brings together UCL cancer researchers from a range of disciplines and career levels, offering a brilliant opportunity to network and engage with fellow cancer researchers from beyond your discipline and team. The symposium will contain talks by some of the top cancer researchers in the world, providing a chance to hear about novel methods and innovation in cancer research. The symposium is open to all and provides an opportunity to be inspired and reflect on how you might potentially collaborate with other researchers.

Call for abstracts - Early Careers Posters - Deadline Friday 23 February 2024, 1:00pm

The UCL Cancer Domain Early Careers Network invites early career researchers (students, research assistants, postdocs, junior PIs and other self-defining ECRs) from all research disciplines at UCL to submit abstracts for poster presentations at the symposium.

Abstracts can be on any topic relating to cancer research; fundamental, translational, clinical, population research, as well as including engineering, imaging, computation, statistics, social sciences, and more.

This is an opportunity to share your research, inspire others, network with fellow researchers and reach a wide audience. Depending on the number of submissions, some abstracts may not be selected for presentation due to space limitations.

The best poster will win a cash prize. Posters should be aimed at a broad audience.

Help us showcase the excellent cancer research across UCL by registering using the 'Abstract/poster submission and in-person ticket' when registering.

You'll be asked to provide the following upon registation, so please have all the details ready.
