SKS FOOTBALL 2024
Special thank you to the Howard University Football team, and SKS Athlete Ambassador Kyshoen Jarrett, for creating this magical day for so many children with disabilities! This event wouldn't be possible without our 2024 So Kids SOAR sponsor Panda Exteriors.
When: Wednesday, July 24th from 5:00 - 6:15PM (Registration will begin at 4:15PM for volunteers and 4:35PM for participants)
Who: Howard University Football team, alongside SKS Athlete Ambassador and former pro Kyshoen Jarrett will guide children with disabilities through football drills to build confidence and social engagement.This event will be open to children with physical and developmental disabilities aged 4 - 30 years old.
WHAT: Kyshoen and the Howard Football Team will assist in instructing/coaching participants, while also empowering them to achieve their dreams. The clinic will take place at Howard University and be at Greene Stadium. Don’t miss out on this amazing opportunity for you and your child.
HOW: Please register as a child participant, parent or volunteer -- please input most relevant contact information for us to reach you. This is an inclusive event, siblings of children with disabilities may sign up as participants. Due to limited space, only one parent/guardian allowed per one child. **ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST HAVE A PARENT/REGISTER ON SITE AT ALL TIMES, ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST REGISTER WITH A PARENT/REGISTER**PLEASE NOTE, PARTICIPANT REGISTRATION STARTS at 4:15PM, IF YOU ARE LATE YOU MAY MISS THE REGISTRATION AND BE UNABLE TO PARTICIPATE**
VOLUNTEERS: VOLUNTEERS: Must be at least age 15 or over and have been a previous SKS volunteer; those who register who are not first-time volunteers must email Glenda Fu at [email protected] first. Volunteers - please note, that we will have mandatory volunteer training by zoom leading up to the clinic. Please remember that we are not liable for lost or missing items so please keep all of your personal belongings on you at all times or stored somewhere safely. We want volunteers who will be enthusiastic and encourage our SKS kids - only register if you are ready to be a committed and engaged volunteer.
