Asbury United Methodist Church 159th Anniversary Celebration — Throwback Edition“Thus far the Lord has helped us.” — 1 Samuel 7:12
Join us on Sunday, October 11, 2026, at 10:00 AM as Asbury United Methodist Church celebrates 159 years of faith, worship, service, and ministry! This special Throwback Edition will honor the rich legacy God has given us while celebrating His faithfulness through every generation. Come experience an old-fashioned church celebration as the Adoration Choir lifts their voices in song, the ushers march, and our guest preacher, Rev. Dr. Jimmy Baldwin of Shiloh Christian Community Church, Baltimore, Maryland, brings the Word. The choir will sing, the ushers will march, the people will be blessed, and above all, God will be glorified!
Under the leadership of our Senior Pastor, Rev. Dr. Derek T. Shackleford, we invite our members, former members, family, friends, and the entire community to come home and celebrate with us. All are invited, and all are welcome! Come help us thank God for 159 years of His faithfulness and make this anniversary a moment to remember as we honor where God has brought us from and look forward to where He is taking us next. Join us at Asbury United Methodist Church, 4257 Kearneysville Pike, Shepherdstown, WV 25443. For more information, visit www.asbury-shep.com.
